Brief Summary: When WTN0 was tagged, the nest was found in a Sycamore tree. WTN0 was one of two chicks, the second was tagged N1. WTN0 can only be identified by a visual sighting.
June 2017 - Causey Gill, Co Durham - at tagging.
July 2017 - by early July the nest was empty and both chicks had fledged.
Latest Sighting: August 2017 - N0 was identified flying over Bollihope Burn - between Stanhope and Middleton in Teesdale

Brief Summary: When WTN1 was tagged, the nest was found in a Sycamore tree. WTN1 was one of two chicks, the second was tagged N0. WTN1 can only be identified by a visual sighting.

July 2017 - by early July the nest was empty and both chicks had fledged.
Latest Sighting:September 2017 - Early this month N1 was identified from a photograph whilst he was flying over Stoterley Hill south of Edmundbyers.

Parents: Father - WTD5 Rocket / Mother - Unknown
Brief Summary: When WTN2 was tagged, the nest was found in a Sycamore tree. WTN2 was one of two chicks, the second was tagged N3, there was also an unhatched egg in the nest. WTN2 can only be identified by a visual sighting.
June 2017 - Sunniside, Gateshead - at tagging.
July 2017 - by early July the nest was empty and both chicks had fledged, towards the end of the month the family of four were seen flying together over the nest wood.
November 2017 - N2 and H5 were identified perched on a pylon with two other kites near Thornley Gardens, Rowlands Gill at pre-roost, a total of six kites were seen.
Spring 2020 - Wing tag N2 and partner built a nest in a garden in Lockhaugh, Rowlands Gill and successfully fledged three chicks in July. (Wing tags S2 & S3, the third chick was to small to wing tag.
August 2020 - N2 seen with one of its three juveniles
Latest Sighting: 17/03/23 - N2 was identified from a photograph whilst flying with two other kites (one of which was fitted with a radio transmitter) at Far Pastures, Lockhaugh, Rowlands Gill.

Brief Summary: When WTN4 was tagged, the nest was found in a Sycamore tree. WTN4 was a single chick. WTN4 can only be identified by a visual sighting.
June 2017 - Rowlands Gill, Gateshead - at tagging, by the end of the month the nest was empty and the chick had fledged.
July 2017 - N4 was heard calling from the nest wood, whilst an adult was flying overhead.
Latest Sighting: August 2017 - N4 was identified flying with three other kites near Edmundbyers.

Brief Summary: When WTN5 was tagged, the nest was found in a Sycamore tree. The nest contained a cloth and a sock. WTN5 was one of three chicks, the second was tagged N6, the third chick was tagged N7. WTN5 can only be identified by a visual sighting.

Latest Sighting: July 2017 - by early July all three chicks had fledged with N6 and N7 perched in a tree and N5 flying nearby.

July 2017 - by early July all three chicks had fledged with N6 and N7 perched in a tree and N5 flying nearby.
March 2018 - N6 & K7 were seen foraging together on Muggleswick Common.
Latest Sighting: April 2018 - N6, N8 and H2 plus an untagged kite were identified flying together near Muggleswick, sometimes displaying as if they were two pairs.

Brief Summary: When WTN8 was tagged, the nest was found in a Larch tree. The nest contained 2 white socks and a rabbit leg. WTN8 was one of two chicks, the second chick was tagged N9, there was also an unhatched egg in the nest. WTN8 can only be identified by a visual sighting.

July 2017 - by early July the nest was empty and both chicks had fledged.
Latest Sighting: April 2018 - N8, N6 and H2 plus an untagged kite were identified flying together near Muggleswick, sometimes displaying as if they were two pairs.

September 2017 - Towards the end of this month N9 plus a Grizedale, Cumbria kite WT Orange/Black 1 were identified from photographs whilst they were flying over Stoterley Hill south of Edmundbyers. There were three other untagged kites seen in the area at the same time.
Latest Sighting: April 2018 - Sadly this young kite was found dead near Lintz Hall in County Durham - there were no obvious reasons and no suspicious circumstances.
